Our eBay Policies
We'd
like to hear from you within 72 hours of your purchase
(3 days). Payment is expected within 7 days of auction
close. If you don't have all the money to pay for your
item, run next door to your neighbor or call your Mom
- she'll help you, won't she? The clock is ticking.
If you can't pay for your item in 7 days -- well, we
don't even want to think about that, because you'll
forfeit your item to another buyer and then Gladys has
to handle all that nasty e-mail and reporting to eBay
stuff...
We
really want you to use PayPal's secure checkout page
to make your payments. However, if you think you can
get your payment to us within 7 business days, feel
free to tell us you want to pay with a U.S. Postal Money
Order or a personal check, then hop like a bunny to
your nearby Post Office. You only have 7 days, so you
might even want to use Priority Mail... But that just
adds expense.... So, it's just easier to use PayPal.
It's fast, secure, you can pay with your credit card
or your bank account, and we trust it. And, if you pay
with PayPal, we often can ship your items within 1 business
day!
Personal
checks are accepted without hold for those with a positive
feedback score of more than 100. Others will require
a wait of 7 business days for your bank to clear the
funds for you.

Bill
and Fred, the “Shipping Team” at TheFamilyBiz.com,
want to make sure you get your purchase as soon as possible.
As soon as Gladys notifies them we've received your
payment, they package and ship it to your verified address.
Make sure you have one of those.
Bill
and Fred are shipping logistics fools and will ship
to everyone in the 48 Continental United States and
even to other countries if you ask nicely before you
place your bid. The method of shipping will depend on
your location, but it will be sent insured for your
protection.
Bill
and Fred will make sure your purchase gets packed up
and shipped out within 23 hours - or the next business
day - whichever makes the most sense. We want you to
be satisfied, but Bill and Fred don't work on weekends.
Fred says Bill doesn't do much on Wednesdays either,
but he's there to take up the slack.
We
try to keep Shipping and Handling costs to a minimum
while ensuring quick and safe delivery of your items.
All items are insured for your protection - that's why
you have to have a verified address. If you have any

Shipping
Fees:
Of course, it depends on your location, but it's just
ridiculous to make you wait to learn how much your shipping
costs are. For most items, we will specify a flat rate
for shipping, and the rate you see includes insurance
up to US$100. Any additional insurance you desire will
be provided when requested at an additional cost to
you.
When
possible, we will combine shipping to help you save
money for items won – just ask. Please ask about
combining shipping costs prior to paying for multiple
auction wins, then make a combined payment for all purchases
at once.
Need

E-mail Fred with an "Express Shipment Request"
and we'll get him to calculate the extra cost and let
you know if faster shipping is available. Put "Express
Shipment Request" in the subject line and e-mail

Terms & Conditions (the fine print):
Once you win an auction from TheFamilyBiz.com, the items
are yours. We even treat them differently once that
happens, taking care to set them aside and out of the
way from all the activity here. Items listed for sale
in this auction are sold "as is." and are
final. Some items may vary slightly from picture but
we assure you they are top quality. We generally do
not accept returns. However, if you are not satisfied
with your purchase due to damage or loss, of if the
blasted thing just doesn't fit and you don't even know
anyone you can give it to as a gift, please e-mail us,
and we will do our best to resolve your issue in a mutually
agreeable manner. For clothing, tags must still be in
place and the garment must not show signs of wear. All
items are photographed carefully and must match the
returned item exactly. If you have any questions about

Customs
& Duties
All Canadian and International shipments may also be
subject to customs and duties (NO BROKERAGE FEES) and
you, and you alone, are responsible for these fees.

Sales
Tax:
Since we're a registered retailer in the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, we collect 6% sales tax and pass that
along to the Governor -- but only if we ship to your
address in Pennsylvania. All other bidders will purchase
tax free. (Clothing is also non-taxable in PA.)
